Aggregate Functions

Aggregate functions perform a mathematical operation on a column.

MySQL implements the following aggregate functions:

  1. COUNT(),
  2. COUNT(DISTINCT),
  3. MAX(),
  4. MIN(),
  5. AVG(),
  6. SUM(), and
  7. STD().
